Terms of Service

1. Who We Are
GitAJob is a product of Altuvia, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (KvK: 95706704; BTW: NL005169967B09). In these Terms, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Altuvia, and “you” refers to any person who accesses or uses the Service.

2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GitAJob (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use GitAJob. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and are legally able to enter into these terms.
3. Description of the Service
GitAJob is a job search platform that aggregates job listings from multiple hiring platforms and uses semantic search to help candidates discover relevant roles. The Service is offered on a freemium model: core search functionality is available for free, while additional features are available through paid subscription tiers.
4. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete account information
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
You must notify us immediately at support@gitajob.io if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to safeguard your credentials.
5. Free and Paid Subscriptions
5.1 Free Tier
GitAJob offers a free tier with limited search functionality. No payment information is required to use the free tier.
5.2 Paid Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions unlock additional features such as enhanced search, saved searches, and priority access to new functionality. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, subject to Stripe's terms.
- Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
- Prices are displayed inclusive or exclusive of VAT depending on your location; applicable taxes are added at checkout
- We do not store your credit card or payment details — these are held by Stripe
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or via the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation:
- Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period
- Your account will revert to the free tier after the paid period expires
- No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period
5.4 Right of Withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the transaction date without giving a reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU. To exercise this right, contact us at support@gitajob.io. If you have already used the Service during the withdrawal period, we may charge a proportionate amount for the service provided.
6. Permitted Use
GitAJob is provided for personal and professional job discovery and related account management. You agree to use the Service lawfully and in accordance with these Terms.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with platform operations or infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service or its data except as permitted by applicable law
- Misrepresent your identity or submit false or fraudulent information
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or other malicious content
- Circumvent rate limits, access controls, or security mechanisms
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service
- Use automated tools (bots, crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written consent
8. Intellectual Property
The GitAJob platform, branding, software, and all associated content are owned by Altuvia or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including Dutch and EU copyright law.
You retain all rights to content you submit to GitAJob (such as search preferences and profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use it solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
9. Third-Party Services
GitAJob integrates with third-party service providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Supabase — database and authentication
- PostHog — product analytics
- Cloudflare — content delivery and hosting
We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of third-party services.
10. Job Listings
GitAJob aggregates job listings from third-party sources. We do not verify the accuracy, completeness, or legitimacy of individual listings. We are not a party to any employment relationship or hiring decision. You should independently verify any listing before applying.
11. Service Availability
We aim to provide reliable access to the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice where practicable.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law (including Dutch and EU consumer protection law), the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Altuvia's total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or employment opportunities, except where such limitation is prohibited by mandatory applicable law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Altuvia harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or wilful misconduct.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if required for security, legal, or operational reasons. Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach before termination.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. For significant changes that affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, via email or an in-app notice). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first at support@gitajob.io so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve any dispute within 30 days.
If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU, this does not affect your right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, as required by Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012.

18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your country of residence.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
